This weekend was the St Matts annual church camp.
This is what our weekend looked like:
We haven’t been to Philip Island before, so enjoyed making the “quick” 2 hour drive down there (if you’re in Adelaide here’s a reminder of how lucky you are to have Victor Harbor and Burra so close!). Fortunately we didn’t get stuck in the Tough Mudder traffic too much and made it on time for the first session on Saturday morning. We only stayed for the day, but enjoyed two talks on Revelation by Mark Stephens (academic dude from NSW) he was an excellent preacher and gave us plenty to mull over. In the afternoon we enjoyed spending time with people from church and getting to know them a little better. I made some more Adelaide connections (one of my favourite past-times) and hope all my TNE friends will welcome my new friends to church this Sunday!
Here’s a thought from camp to leave with you:
“The bible is a story of what God does with a broken creation…Who will put creation back together again? God will!”
This week is the last week of term 1! We can’t believe it has gone by so quickly. We are looking forward to spending Easter with family and getting some super study done over the break.
Please pray with us this week:
‑Praise God for an exciting start to the year and for great truths learnt
‑Pray for us and friends in Adelaide as we feel the distance
‑Pray for ongoing development of relationships here in Melbourne, that these will be mutually encouraging and glorifying to God.
