Some highlights of this week

We have had a full on week this week. Mad March has also shown itself to be present in Melbourne also with our spare time filled up with lots of fun activities. Here are some of the highlights of this last week:

Chris went to the Formula One, finally one in our hometown!

While Chris was watching car racing, I went to my cousin’s baby shower. It was wonderful to be able to join in with a very special cousin and her family and friends.

I did some stitching and made some presents for my cousin.

When I wasn’t doing embroidery I was reading this book for our church book club – first meeting is this week.

And finally a reminder in the flurry of study.  Incidentally I also read this article about the origins of this poster during the week (thanks Bec!)

Praise God for the fun times in life this week, and for opportunities we have had to make new friends.

Please continue to pray for our study as the deadlines loom, and fruitful conversations with new friends.

About Gillian

  • Merilyn Clark

Very important to maintain balance in study. So glad you are finding time to have fun. Delighted to see your stitchery Gillian. Your mum will be proud of you. With your mother’s gifts in that direction I should have expected that it would rub off. I just feel like sharing with you a wee poem-prayer by Noel Davis called “Here in our hearts”.
    “O yes You are here
    a Child with us
in the joy of our little encounters
the love that gives them wings
    the moments of soul song
that lift us along the way
renew our gratitude for being here
tender our being with each other
    touch our hearts
    grace our sharing
    have us join our hands
    bow our heads
    delight in life renewing.”
May God continue to bless you both and keep you in His heart. Mel
