A week of nights

It’s my last week of work this week, and then I’ll say goodbye to the Lyell Mac, goodbye to my Adelaide friends and goodbye to Adelaide. I have the priveledge of spending my last week at work on nights.

Last weekend we enjoyed a break down at CMS Summer Encounter conference. We were challenged to consider how we live as Christians when trials come and encouraged to remember that God is faithful and working in all circumstances. We also enjoyed spending some time together at the beach and dreaming about the year to come. On Sunday afternoon we enjoyed a friend’s wedding, and then were pleased we could spend some time with good friends for the rest of the long weekend.

Chris headed back to Melbourne on Tuesday morning to continue preparing the house and getting ready for his Hebrew intensive, while I get to stay in Adelaide and do night shift. It’s been hard to concentrate on work this week, but I have enjoyed getting to know another colleague well and also to say goodbye to Adelaide a bit more slowly.

This evening I got to go to a friend’s first birthday party before work — so much fun! I actually missed most of the party but loved enjoying dinner with good friends. I also enjoyed the pre-night shift coffee as you can see!

So now, just 2 more night shifts, then a few days of packing up and saying final goodbyes, and I will be off to Melbourne with my mum.

Please pray for good farewells, safe travelling and no stress for me.

Chris starts his Hebrew intensive on Monday. I think it is going to be very intense! Please keep him in your prayers, especially as he hasn’t got me around to laugh at when he needs a break 🙂
